- Patchouli oil in Perfumery
Patchouli is used widely in perfumery industry as an ingredient for manufacturing some well known oriental perfumes. Since the odour of patchouli oil is strong and herbaceous with a spicy fragrance and it blends well with other aroma oils of sandalwood, geranium, vetiver, clove etc, it is highly favored as an ingredient in perfume manufacturing, especially for making heavy perfumes.
